Primary classes in Karnataka will reopen on October 25
Karnataka government announced the reopening of classes 1 to 5 from October 25
With the decline in COVID 19 cases, Karnataka government have decided the reopening of primary classes. Classes 1 to 5 will be reopened on October 25 adhering to strict COVID 19 protocols. Teachers and staffs who are fully vaccinated will only be allowed in the primary classes. Training will be given to students by teachers regarding COVID 19 appropriate behaviour. Students should bring with them consent from the parents for attending offline classes. A screening for COVID 19 symptoms will be done at the entrance in schools. The capacity in classrooms is 50%. One meter physical distancing should be maintained in classrooms. Face shield will be provided for teachers above 50 years. Karnataka government have already reopened classes 6 -8 on September 6 & classes 9-12 on August 23. SOP would be sent to schools regarding reopening of primary classes, said Primary and Secondary Education minister BC Nagesh.
