NID Entrance exam 2022: Application form out
The National Institute of Design has started application process for B.Des and M.Des programmes
NID has started registration process for the academic year 2022-23. Candidates who are interested to study fashion designing from the institute need to qualify the NID entrance exam 2022. There will be prelims as well as main exam for the admission process. Those who qualify the prelims will be selected for the main exam. The application forms were released on October 5, 2021. Candidates can submit online application till December 5, 2021. Forms could be submitted without late fee till November 30, 2021. However with late fee , forms can be submitted till December 5, 2021. The portal for correction of applications will be open between December 6 to December 13. The NID entrance exam will be conducted on January 2, 2022. All applications have to be submitted in the official website, admissions.nid.edu. Candidates should upload the documents in the prescribed format. Candidates who belong to General, EWS, OBC-NCL categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 3000 . Candidates who belong to SC, ST, PwD categories have to pay an application fee of Rs 1500. Eligibility criteria for B.Des as well as M.Des programme are as follows:
For B.Des programme , a candidate who have passed or will appear for higher secondary ( 10+2)qualifying can apply. Students who belong to any stream can apply.
Foe M.Des programme candidate should have either bachelor’s degree ( 4 year) in any stream or full time diploma (4 year) in design , fine arts applied arts or architecture. Optional qualification is a bachelor’s degree(3year) in any specialization. Candidates who have any one among the three is eligible to apply for an M.Des programme.
