The Guidelines regarding school reopening in Kerala have been handed over to CM for approval
Guidelines regarding school reopening in Kerala have been drafted and have been handed over Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for approval. Kerala plans to reopen schools from November 1, 2021. According to the guideline, students in each class will be divided into batches to limit the number of children attending classes. Only 10 students at a time would be allowed to attend offline classes. This is applicable only to students up to class 4 . For students from classes 5 to 12, 20 students per class will be allowed to attend. The guidelines were prepared in coordination with Education and Health departments. Schools have been asked to disinfect classrooms and set up sick rooms for students . The guidelines also mentioned that batch adjustments are not compulsory if a school has less number of students. All teaching as well as non- teaching staff should be completely vaccinated . Helplines should also be set up at schools according to the guidelines. A detailed guideline regarding academic activities will be issued soon. Colleges have been reopened earlier this month in Kerala.
