NTA Postpones UGC NET 2021 exam again
The National Testing Agency on Saturday issued a notice stating the postponement of UGC NET 2021 examination
NTA has announced that the UGC NET 2021 exam for December 2020 and June 2021 sessions has been postponed. The exam was scheduled to begin from October 17 till October 25. ” Several requests have been received from candidates regarding clash with some other major examinations. Hence NTA has decided to postpone the UGC NET December 2020 and June 2021 cycles to subsequent dates which will be announced shortly”- Official NTA statement. Earlier NTA had postponed the UGC NET exam for December 2020 cycle (May 2021) due to COVID 19 crisis. This had caused delay in June 2021 session. As a result , NTA decided to merge both December 2020 and June 2021 sessions together. UGC NET is conducted for determining eligibility of citizens of India for eligibility of Assistant Professorship, Junior Research Fellowship for colleges and universities in India. For updates regarding UGC NET exam, candidates are advised to visit the official website, ugcnet.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in. UGC NET exam is of three hours consisting of two papers. The examination is conducted online. Paper 1 is general paper and Paper 2 is subject specific.
