Aspirants for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET UG) must complete the NEET application form and provide a qualifying exam code.
The qualifying exam code for NEET UG 2021 is the qualifying exam passed by the medical aspirant.
You will have to fill in these coded according to yiur status in the application form.
Qualifying codes
NEET UG aspirants can choose Code 1 if their Class 12th results are not yet available. Students must, however, be required to provide the necessary documentation during NEET counselling.
Code 2 – Candidates who have completed a period of 12 years under – Higher/Secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) with English, Biology/Biotechnology, or Mathematics or any other elective as a major subject as prescribed by the National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) during the last two years can choose Code 2.
Code 3 – Students who have completed Class 12th may choose Code 3 as their NEET qualifying exam code.
Code 4 – After passing Class 12th, NEET applicants can choose Code 4 after completing a pre-professional or pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
However, according to NTA, the qualification of pre-professional or pre-medical examination should include mandatory practical tests in all subjects.
Code 5 – Anyone who has completed the first year of a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and has included practical tests in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology can choose Code 5.
Code 6 – Students who have passed the BSc examination with at least two subjects including Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, and Chemistry may choose this option.
Code 7- Students who have passed any exam equivalent to Class 12 from a university or a board and have completed two years of study in Physics, Biology/Biotechnology, Chemistry, and English, as well as practical tests, can also choose Code 7.
